The weekend just ended at the Mugello circuit for the Italian GT Championship, despite the excellent start, was not one of the luckiest.
During qualifying, Saturday afternoon, Daniel, who took part in the third round, managed to take pole position in the Gt4 category.
A result that gave the Italian driver and all the Ebimotors team great satisfaction, given that Mancinelli debuted directly in qualifying after returning from a sports driving coaching event in Las Vegas.
Combining the three best times achieved by the three drivers, with Piccioli taking part in the first round and Costa in the second, the team was ranked in an excellent 5th position.
At the start of the race, Sunday afternoon, Piccioli started immediately very well, managing to move to fourth position. But a couple of minutes before the pit stop, in the dubbing phase, the driver had a contact with another car of the GT3 championship which caused the break of a suspension with the consequent withdrawal from the race.
“Unfortunately there was a bit of bitterness given the excellent qualification and potential that we certainly had to bring us a podium and maybe a possible victory.” – Daniel said – “Anyway I would thank the Ebimotors team and my teammates for the opportunity and I’m sure we will get excellent results in the next races.”
