The Hearth of Racing team achieves an excellent P2 in São Paulo

During the weekend just gone, 12-14 July, the fourth round of the FIA ??WEC Championship took place on the São Paulo circuit in Brazil.
A weekend that finally did justice to The Hearth of Racing team which at the end of the 6H of the race achieved a well-deserved second position.
During the qualifying session Ian James pushed the car to the limit and, despite losing the rear at the final corner on his fastest lap, managed a good 9th position.
At the start of the 6H of the race, Ian immediately demonstrated that the Aston Martin Vantage LMGT3 had an excellent race pace, climbing from 9th to 3rd position.
Daniel, who took to the track for the driver change after 2 hours of racing, immediately started to lap very fast, threatening several times the Lamborghini Huracan of Iron Dames which was in second position.
During the last pit stop the Lamborghini Huracan #85 was forced to retire due to a technical problem.
Alex, who took to the track for the last two-hour stint in second position, maintained an excellent race pace, bringing the gap from the Porsche leading the race from 20 to 4 seconds and finishing the race in second position.
“It was really exciting to get on the podium in São Paulo.” – Daniel said – “It was a completely new track for both me and my teammates but we did an excellent job throughout the weekend and the results arrived. After Le Mans it was what we needed. I want to thank once again The Hearth of Racing team who, as always, worked hard.”
Next meeting on the Lone Star Le Mans circuit in Cota on the weekend of 30 August – 1 September for what can be considered the home race for The Hearth of Racing team.
